(UK 1964). Arthur Wood (vocals), Jon Lord (organ) Derek Griffiths (guitar), Malcolm Pool (bass) and Keef Hartley (drums). Art Wood was the elder brother of Ron Wood (of the Faces). Popular London R&B outfit. The group became St Valentines Day Massacre. Jon Lord later made an impact with Deep Purple.

(Newcastle 1959) Alan Price (keyboards), Chas Chandler (bass), Hilton Valentine (guitar) and John Steel (drums). Joined by Eric Burdon in 1962. Wild R&B band with a hard hitting sound, inspired by artists like Jimmy Reed. Had a massive hit with "House of The Rising Sun" which went to no.1 both sides of the Atlantic. Line up changes during the 60's and 70's but now gigging with a classic line up as "Animals & Friends".

(UK) Little known and underated 60's beat band with a crisp R&B sound. Signed with Don Arden's agency and became infamous for their version of "Hi Ho Silver Lining" in 1967. The banmd folded the same year when guitarist David O'List left to join The Nice.
