Monday 7th August 2006 saw the release of a double DVD, special edition of Quadrophenia. To celebrate the release of a film that, for many, marked the beginning of a lifetime's interest in motor scooters & the mod scene, scooter-forums.com is featuring the film with a web page, a gallery of fantastic stills (courtesy of New Media Maze and Universal Pictures UK), a competition (further details to follow) and discussion via the forums.
We'll also be featuring music from the film during our live programme at SFR, this Sunday 6th August from 8pm (UK time).
"Quadrophenia is My Generation writ large"Pete Townshend- The Who

"August: the time for summer holidays, Bank holidays and, back in the 1960s, if you were a mod or rocker, a time to head to seaside resorts for an almighty punch-up. This August, that classic British pastime - mods versus rockers - is relived as Universal Pictures releases the Special Edition of Quadrophenia, the classic film that has inspired generations of youth since its release in1979".
