During October 2007 London's Movie Poster Art Gallery is hosting "The Jam unseen"; a Photographic Exhibition featuring rare and never-before-seen photographs by Twink of Britain's best loved band, The Jam.
On 13th December 1981, The Jam played a landmark gig at the Michael Sobell Sports Centre in North London (not least because my brother and I were in the audience - Spider)
In this interview, recorded on 3rd October 2007 TWINK talks about how he came to be backstage with the Jam.
Twink had unrestricted access to Paul Weller, Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler and took some of the most atmospheric and exciting pictures ever taken of the band.
The exhibition runs from Saturday October 6th to Saturday October 20th. Photographed by "Twink"; the band's official photographer from 1981-1982, this will be the first time 20 limited edition prints will be exhibited and sold to the public. Each print will be individually numbered and signed by Foxton, Buckler and Twink.
The exhibition precedes Foxton and Buckler's nationwide 23-date UK autumn tour which starts at Ipswich Regent's Theatre on November 21st, and ends at the Brighton Centre on December 21st (the same venue where the original line-up performed their farewell concert 25 years ago; December 11th, 1982).
In this interview, also recorded on 3rd October 2007 , Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler talk to SFR about the exhibition, the Sobell gig and the band's forthcoming tour.
'From the Jam' are about to embark on a new tour of the UK, to be followed in the New Year by dates in the United States, Australia and Japan.
Bruce also confirms that the band are rehearsing new material for possible inclusion in the set.
